- Use: Argon Plasma Coagulation (APC), Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR), perforation management

- Indications: Treatment-resistant reflux, unexplained anaemia, suspected upper gastrointestinal tract diseases (such as ulcers, coeliac disease, lactose deficiency, malabsorption due to enzyme deficiency), abdominal pain
- Surveillance
- Indication: Barrett’s oesophagus, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), gastro-duodenal ulcers
- Therapeutic
- Use: insertion of a feeding tube (such as NasoGastric tube, NGT, Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG)), removal of foreign body, banding of oesophageal varices
